The 2024 Toyota Tacoma has been unveiled! Everything you need to know about the 2024 Tacoma.
The Toyota marketing team has been offering up Toyota enthusiasts and Tacoma fans a glimpse into the all-new 2024 Tacoma. This new Tacoma has been confirmed to be the 4th Generation Tacoma and if this new generation is anything like what we saw with the 2nd generation to 3rd generation Tacoma, people will be in for a treat.
Toyota has long been known for having a midsize truck that was not only capable, but very reliable. We expect this trend to continue with the all-new Tacoma.
What we currently know about the 2024 Tacoma:
Toyota confirmed that the 2024 Tacoma would be an all-new vehicle and will debut on May 19th. With this announcement, Toyota shared some images indicating that there will be multiple cab options and wheel bases will be available for the all-new Tacoma.
Like the 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacoma, we are expecting Toyota's top mid size truck to feature the extended cab option with 4 doors as well as a crew cab option.
The Tacoma is also expected to have a short and longer wheelbase option which has been historically offered by the automaker.
Many predicted that the 3rd Gen Tacoma platform might be the last Tacoma with a manual transmission. Toyota featured an image with three pedals clearly indicating that a manual transmission will be an option on the 2024+ Toyota Tacoma.
We still aren't sure what trims the manual transmission will be available on, but we all can dream of a 2024 Tacoma Trailhunter with six-speed stick shift and crawler gear. We will continue to pray for that.
On April 11, Toyota announced their all-new overland version of the 4th Gen Tacoma - The 2024 Toyota Tacoma Trailhunter. Little is currently known about this new truck, but it does appear it will come with a low-profile Roof Rack, ARB Bumpers, and unique badges indicating the new Trailhunter Trim. It is also likely that the Trailhunter Trim will come with some sort of Bed Rack of Chase Rack.
Could the Trailhunter Tacoma be anything like the Trailhunter Tundra we got a glimpse of?
Toyota unveiled the Trailhunter Tundra at the 2022 SEMA show which might be some indication of what we should expect with the 2024+ Tacoma Trailhunter. Their new Tundra with the Trailhunter Trim features tons of CBI Offroad products including a covert style Front Bumper, Rock Sliders, Bed Rack, and much more. It also featured a Prinsu Roof Rack.
We fully expect Prinsu and CBI to offer their industry leading products for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Stay tuned for more information. We expect products to launch within a couple months.
Fans got a glimpse of what they wanted on April 4, 2023 when Toyota confirmed...
This teaser image left fans with more questions than answers, but the excitement started to brew. The current model Tacoma lacks in the power department so could the new 4th Gen Tacoma have horsepower and torque numbers like so many desire?
The larger Tundra i FORCE MAX twin turbo V-6 pumps out an impressive 437 HP with 583 ft. lbs. of torque. While we aren't expecting these kinds of numbers from the Tacoma engines, we do expect huge improvements over the current model and one would hope to see better fuel economy.
It has been speculated by some..
The 4th Gen Tacoma will most likely have two engine options: the 2.4 liter inline turbo 4-cylinder and a hybrid version with better power. This would be similar to what the new 2022+ Tundra offers.
Overall, from what we currently know, we have huge expectations for the new Toyota Tacoma. Toyota's recent announcements about the Tacoma and their 2023 lineup including the Tundra, Highlander, and 4Runner all give us the indication that the upcoming release of the Tacoma will be one for the books.
Truck Brigade will be offering the widest selection of offroad and overland parts for the 4th Gen Tacoma. Stay tuned for our future announcements.
