King Shocks has solidified themselves as the go-to name for stock replacement OEM performance coilovers all the way up to full custom built race shocks. In fact, King shocks can be found on many of the top trophy trucks and that same technology is also available with their extremely popular bolt-on options available for many popular makes and models including the Toyota Tacoma and Toyota Tundra.
For those that are demanding the best in performance and ride quality, King is the brand that should be at the forefront of your search. It is also worth noting that all King shocks are serviceable and rebuildable. This means that King shocks will last the life of your vehicle and potentially even longer.
King OEM performance front coilover shocks are bolt-on factory replacement coilovers and are available for many popular offroad and overland vehicles. Since they are vehicle specific they come with the proper spring rates and are ready to bolt-on. They not only drastically outperform your factory shocks, but also provide a lift of 0-3 inches for most vehicles.
In addition to outperforming their OEM counterparts, many King OEM replacement shocks come with thicker shafts and remote reservoirs. The remote reservoirs allow the shocks to hold more fluid which keeps the shocks running cooler with better heat dissipation. The adjustability is also a huge benefit to King coilover shocks especially with their lineup of King coilovers with compression adjusters. This allows you to seamless adjust the shocks on the fly.
King OEM performance rear reservoir shocks are a perfect companion to King's front coilover shocks and feature many of the same benefits including larger shafts and remote reservoirs on many models. They also bolt right into factory locations and don't require any vehicle modification.
While it is most common to see 2.5 inch front and rear shocks, King offers 3.0 rear bypass shocks with 3 and 4 tube adjustability. Like all king OEM replacement shocks, their performance rear shocks come factory tuned for optimal ride quality and performance.
King's OEM performance shocks (front and rear) can be easily installed with no vehicle modification required. King OEM performance shocks are tuned custom tuned for the specific vehicle and are a direct replacement for the OEM shock.
King shocks are fully serviceable and rebuildable so there is no reason why they shouldn't outlast the life of the vehicle. This is of course only the case if they are properly maintained and taken care of.
We generally recommend you rebuild your King shocks every 20,000-30,000 miles, but this ultimately depends on your driving style and the driving conditions.
This depends on what particular shocks you have and the adjustment that needs to be made. For coilover shocks, you will need a spanner wrench which comes standard with King coilover shocks. You may need to get a compact coil spring compressor to lighten the tension, or compress the suspension.
If your shocks have an adjuster knob, you can easily adjust them that way. King's compression adjuster comes with 16 total clicks of adjustment. 4 clicks for low-speed compression and the remaining 12 clicks for mid-speed compression.
