Southern Style Offroad (SSO) has recently released their all-new Hitch Mounted Tire Carrier for the 4Runner to solve that exact problem. Up to a 35 inch tire has been tested to work with the SSO Hitch Mounted Tire Carrier.
This Hitch Mounted Tire Carrier is proudly made right here in the USA and was designed with anti-wobble features meaning this mount will not rattle or chatter while driving. This mount also was designed to maintain the factory settings of 5,000lb tow capacity and 550lb tongue weight. An optional camera relocation kit can be added.
