For starters, the GearPod XL GEN 2 features a spring activated Leitner Lid Lifter, for easy opening and smooth operation. Forget the days of opening your Gear Pod XL by hand and then manually securing it with a prop rod, as this spring activated feature will essentially allow quick and easy access. In addition to this awesome feature, is an improved water resistant seal that runs the full perimeter along with re-engineered brackets for maximum strength.
If you're not familiar with the Leitner GearPod XL Gen 2, here's a few additional key features that we find important. The Gear Pod XL is constructed from roto-molded polyethylene, which helps to ensure that your product is both dent and UV resistant. These materials have been tested and proven to withstand years of abuse and remain looking great while doing so. To ensure that your adventure gear stays safe from the harshest of elements as well as thieving hands, each Gear Pod XL utilizes a full perimeter automotive grade silicon seal and can be key-locked by using the provided set of keys. This ACS integrated gear box can be installed or removed from your Leitner ACS Bed Rack within seconds! The packaging says alot about the quality and attention to detail of a product. I was impressed with how the components where fitted together with layers of cardboard and foam to eliminate the possibility of damage while shipping. The Litner designs ACS has serious engineering behind it. The tolerances where tight while still having an simple assembly process. I would however recommend a hammer drill and appropriate star bit for removing your bed bolts as Toyota over torqued them and the supplied tool while high quality does not provide enough leverage. I ended up using a breaker bar with a deepwell socket for extra leverage. As someone that doesn't have a lot of experience or tools for this kind of work I would say it's a pretty easy job for one person and can be done in under 4 hours.

Pretty Sweet
The gear pod is really convenient, sturdy as ****, and well designed. If you have $700 burning a hole in your pocket, I’d recommend it. Still wondering how TJ and Ryan sold it to me, but ultimately happy with the purchase. Thanks dudes
