The Expedition One Smooth Motion Tire Carrier Rear Bumper System for the 2020+ Land Rover Defender (90 & 110) is engineered for heavy-duty protection and practical utility. It replaces the stock rear bumper with a robust steel assembly that integrates a Smooth Motion Tire Carrier system allowing the entire carrier to swing in unison with the rear door, giving you easy access to cargo without interfering with tire movement.

Built from precision-cut 3/16″ inner and outer steel structure and a heavy-duty boxed carrier arm, this rear bumper provides durability and modularity for overland builds or trail rigs. The carrier supports tires up to 35″, making it suitable for larger spare wheels without compromising reliability. Integrated light ports and attachment points let you add auxiliary lighting or accessories as needed.

The design also retains compatibility with modern vehicle systems — it includes mounting locations for OEM sensors, works with blind-spot monitors, and retains the rear camera and parking sensors wherever possible (sensor calibration may still be required). Installation

The bumper bolts to the Defender’s rear frame using included hardware. Swing-arms and carrier are installed with the bumper, then camera and license plate mounts are attached.
