The Dirt King Rear Shackle Hangers are heavy-duty suspension components engineered to work with long travel shackles to increase rear wheel travel and improve suspension performance on 1999–2018 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 (2WD and 4WD) trucks. These hangers replace the comparatively weak factory hangers with fully fabricated, rigid assemblies that maintain correct leaf spring geometry while accommodating the increased travel of long travel setups.

By relocating the shackle pivot points and using stronger fabricated construction, these hangers help deliver a more capable and durable rear suspension — ideal for off-road builds, heavier loads, and vehicles equipped with upgraded leaf springs or long travel kits.

Installation

Remove the factory rear shackle hangers and install the Dirt King hangers in the original mounting locations. Use the supplied Grade 8 hardware (7/16″ and 9/16″ bolts) to secure the hangers to the frame and leaf spring perch brackets. Torque all fasteners to the manufacturer’s specifications, and verify alignment and clearances before final tightening.
