Dirt King Long Travel Shackles | GMC Sierra 1500 (1999-2018)

The Dirt King Long Travel Shackles are engineered as a stronger, extended shackle solution to replace weak factory shackles on rear leaf spring suspension systems. When paired with long travel leaf springs, these shackles allow additional down travel of the rear axle, helping improve articulation and overall suspension performance over rough terrain. Constructed from CAD-designed, heavy-duty 3/16″ thick steel, the shackles also help lower rear ride height slightly to assist with leveling and stance on lifted vehicles.

Serviceability was built into the design with grease ports that allow easy lubrication of bushings, helping maintain smooth pivot movement even after extended off-road use. Sold as a pair, these shackles are ideal for truck builds with long travel leaf springs where increased droop travel and durability are essential for both trail performance and daily driving.

Installation

Remove factory rear shackles and install the long travel shackles in the same mount locations using included hardware. Ensure bushings are greased through the ports, torque all fasteners to specification, and check suspension movement through full travel.
