These Transit DIY Bed Brackets are built to give you flexibility and structural strength when installing a custom bed platform. By mounting directly to the van’s structural sheet metal, they allow your bed to be raised higher than the window line—perfect for optimizing vertical space and enabling multi-level layouts with room underneath for storage or bunk setups.
Made with heavy‑duty 14 ga steel and coated in matte black powder for a clean, rugged look, the bed brackets serve as the backbone for Flatline’s Transit Bed System, Solo Bed, or your own DIY platform. They provide a dependable mounting foundation that maintains stability even on rough roads—yet they're not mandatory for simpler installations.
Whether you're building a modular overland rig or a home-on-wheels conversion, these brackets give you the flexibility to shift your bed height and adapt your van layout as your needs evolve—while keeping installation straightforward and solid.
Note: Flarespace trim rings may affect fitment. Not compatible with Transit 130, Transit Mid Roof, or Passenger vans.
Mount brackets directly to Transit’s internal metal studs using included hardware and PEM nuts. Position as needed for desired bed height, then bolt your Transit Bed System or custom platform to the brackets. No welding required. Basic tools suffice—installation takes approximately 1–2 hours.
