The Expedition One Mule SAM roof rack for the 2025+ 6th-gen 4Runner combines rugged capability with smart design. It’s built with proprietary heavy-duty load bars — not the typical 1×1.5" T-slot — giving you exceptional strength and surface area for all your expedition gear. Despite its robust construction, the rack maintains the full operation of your factory sunroof even with the bars installed, so you don’t lose one of the 4Runner’s premium features. The side rails are made of 3/16″ formed steel, mated to extruded aluminum load bars, giving a strong but balanced structure. With its modular layout, you can add or remove load bars to suit your gear setup.

Installation is straightforward, as the rack mounts to factory mounting points — no drilling is required. The side rails are finished with a textured black powder coat for durability, while the aluminum load bars come standard in silver anodized finish (with other finishes available), giving you a streamlined and functional roof system that’s built to last.
