Easy to install, nice thick aluminum...but someone please explain to me why they didn't make it possible to still use the front jack point? All it would take is some support between the skid plate and the jack point. As it stands now there is a huge gap and obviously if you try to jack up the car the aluminum will bend. I feel like this is a pretty significant design flaw that could have been easily remedied.
I purchased this because the stock "skid" plate did not cover my oil pan on my '14 Tacoma. Driving in the streets of NYC you have no idea what could hit the underside of your car and so I purchased the RCI so that it would provide protection for the oil pan. Protection is provided but now I've lost the ability jack up the front of the car using one jack. Definitely not a deal breaker but should have been addressed.
